So, today I spent the morning at the EFRC. What is the EFRC you ask? It is the Exotic Feline Rescue Center in the southern part of my state.

For those of you that have me on watch you've read my praise of Wolf Park and the conservation work that they do with wild canids.

While, the EFRC do not participate in any breeding programs, they do find and rescue those wild animals that Zoos, Circuses, and misguided people purchase. They take the time to go in and rescue these animals from oftentimes horrifyingly bad situations and rehabilitate them at their facility.

They do not know the animals from birth as Wolf Park interns and staff do, nor do they enter the enclosures for the purpose of socializing the big cats. What they do, do is care for and nurse back to health some 185 exotic felines.

It was hot as hell today, but you know I didn't even notice. Not with mountain lions, lynx, tigers(White and regular), lions, leopards, cheetahs, and panthers to watch and marvel over.
