Afterwork: Border, sharpened.

"There is something about a snow covered cemetary that seems desolate"

A friend of mine said that. He is right, we drove through this cemetary last weekend, because of the snow, taking pictures. This one was my favorite, and the first one I took. The depth between the trees that draws your eyes to the graves was the best frame I did that day. At least in my opinion.

They call it the dead season, but I prefer to think of it as the world sleeping, getting ready for the birth of spring. All of a life is a cycle, life, death, rebirth as the world moves ever forward.

Wow. Beautiful picture, and interpretation of this. It looks so peaceful, and surreal -- almost like a painting. It's still snowing for you? Wow...lucky.

I thought you didn't like this because of the cars.... but it was the effect I wanted for you

Love you

Thank you darlin. Snow, it has stopped, sadly. Begun to melt away, but for these few days I did enjoy it. :)

I looked at it again. It is the best picture, the rest seem unfinished or staged might be a better word.

Ah, how neat. I just wish we DID get snow over here. :( And I can tell, it sure made some breathtaking photos, though, for the time it was there.

I really like it, I also fave this!

I like this one a lot.. but it doesn't really convey a cold or desolate feel for me. More tranquil....

Ah, make the most of what we yet may spend,
Before we too into the Dust descend;
Dust into Dust, and under Dust to lie
Sans Wine, sans Song, sans Singer, and--sans End!

well it looks good and I liked it a lot

Love you

Great picture there. The framing, as you say, is very well done and the trees which dwindle in size through the picture give it a sense of distance, somehow. The mist and the almost complete lack of colour give it a beautiful, peaceful and solemn atmosphere which I love. Shame about those ruddy car lights! Can you edit them out?
