Artist's Comments

Afterwork: The border, sharpened, and a little bit of saturation adjustment in the blue spectrum.

Last weekend, Fort Harrison State Park.

I didn't take many pictures this day, I was angry at the sky. It was a uniform white, overcast with clouds, and the brilliant blue against the snow I was looking for never materialized. I did like this shot though, the winding curve of the road caught my eye as I was walking along this stretch of trees behind the lake.

I used to work in this area when it was still a military installation, for my great aunt on the post magazine. I set type, and played gopher to some artists and reporters. It was a decent high school job I thought, made more money than my mother did. I remember being amazed at the fact they actually hunted down my refrences I'd put on the application. Even to the point of calling up family friends.

Military, making sure I wasn't some subversive spy. LOL

Looks dreamy yet desolate.... cold and lonely, but beautiful and delicate at the same time. Lovely! :aww:

This shot is well composed as is the graveyard one but this has better light. I hear what you are saying about the cloud cover but I can't help feeling that the shots need a lift. They look a bit flat and low contrast. Have you tried using levels and or curves to adjust them. I am told snow is hard to fotograph but will find out myself in winter. Hope the blue skys appear and note me if you want any PS hints. See my upcomming journal!

Interesting.
Captivating.

Lovely stuff, I like how the road wanders out of the picture with a nice curve. And the impenetrable snowy branches are very nice indeed.

MMh, I might edit this one again. Another watcher, thinks it's flat, I must figure out these levels in photoshop now. :) But thank you.
